WARRANT TEAM MISSION
STATEMENT |
It is the mission of the Warrant Team to safely and
aggressively target and seek out violent and dangerous offenders and
career criminals who are wanted. The intended outcome of this effort
is to increase public safety by locating and apprehending such
violent fugitives. Like other law enforcement operations teamwork is
essential to fugitive apprehension. The team frequently assists and
works alongside the U.S. Marshals Service, FBI, Secret Service, ICE,
South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, other local agencies as
well as units within the Columbia Police Department. The success of
the Warrant Team is not possible without support and information
from the public. The Warrant Team’s mission also includes the
entering, updating, and archiving, of all warrants and summons.

confidential. Information collected in this form is only
used to identify and locate wanted persons. |

About Privacy
The Columbia Police Department considers any information
received and available through our Web site as if it were
supplied in writing or through an in-person visit to our
offices. We would like to clarify what is considered private
and confidential in a public and open environment such as
ours.
Confidential by Law
We protect against disclosure of all information declared by
law to be confidential. This includes:
Personal medical records
Criminal history records
Communications between citizens and law offices
E-mail
E-mail messages sent to the Columbia Police Department
address will be treated the same as any other written
communication, and may be subject to public review. E-mail
or other information requests sent to departments web site
may be maintained in order to:
Respond to the request
Forward the request to the appropriate agency
Communicate updates to the page that may be of interest to
you
Provide the web designer with valuable customer feedback to
improve the Web site
E-mail addresses obtained as a result of a request to the
Columbia Police Department Web site shall not be sold or
distributed to private companies.
